Phonics, Vocabulary & Spelling

English is a complicated language built on a simple principle: patterns.  Words have patterns.  Sounds and meanings have patterns. Sentences are patterns.  And all of these patterns are related to each other! The more you learn to recognize them, the easier the language becomes!  The key to understanding this begins with effective phonics instruction. Instruction must be clear, explicit, and allow for regular practice. This is how our sessions will be focused. It will be the basis for proper spelling and vocabulary instruction.
